Message from the acting headteacher:
Firstly, may I extend a very warm welcome to our school website.
I am delighted and privileged to be the acting headteacher of Pentip VA CiW School. As a school we recognise that choosing the right school for your child is extremely important in enabling them to reach their true potential and to prepare them for their journey through life. As a school we strive to give the pupils the best opportunities and experiences, through nurturing the whole child academically, emotionally, socially, spiritually and physically in a safe and inclusive environment. Our nurturing team ensure that the wellbeing of our learners is at the heart of everything we do in order to give them the solid foundations they need in life.
Our sense of family enables us to build strong links with the local community. We promote strong partnerships that exists between the home, the school, the church and the community. We work in close partnership with parents so that every child is fully supported. We understand the important role that parents play in their child’s education and welcome your involvement in the life of our school through our wonderful PTA members and parent support groups.
Pentip School is a family, filled with a highly supportive community of staff, parents, governors and friends, who share the same purpose, positively enhancing the lives of our young learners. We celebrate diversity within our school and community and teach the children to have pride and respect for their identity and cultural differences.
Our broad and balanced curriculum helps promote the Welsh language, culture and heritage whilst equally celebrating the diversity within our school and community. Through our Global Sustainable Goals based curriculum we are able to celebrate and learn from the past whilst looking to the future and recognising the changes and need for intervention by overcoming problems with solutions. We set high expectations for our learners and engage them through authentic learning experiences that promote collaboration, independence and problem solving within a variety of real-life contexts.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our school. Should you wish to arrange a tour, please do not hesitate to contact the school office to arrange a suitable time. I look forward to meeting you and taking you around our school.
Mr N. Davies
