Early in the year pupils will have the opportunity to visit our feeder secondary schools and parents are invited to Open evenings to get a general feel for the schools and to ask any questions they may have. Secondary school places are via online application.

P.E Day:

In year 6 our allocated day for P.E is a Tuesday. All pupils need to have appropriate footwear and clothing to undertake a wide range of physical activities.
 

Homework:

Pupils in year 6 complete homework using their Hwb accounts. Here they will find links to challenges and activities in relation to their current learning in school.
We have regular spelling words which the pupils aim to learn each week. These words are high frequency words in relation to their age and general necessities. Pupils have time in class to put these words into documents they save in their Hwb accounts, these can then be easily accessed at home as well as school.

Pupils take their reading books home each week in order to read with parents/carers. 

A selection of maths challenges from Corbett maths is also provided in their Hwb accounts.

Music 

All pupils are given the opportunity to join a variety of the schools musical groups such as woodwind, brass and violins to name a few.
